almamater LIFE
Community Guidelines
Last updated October 18, 2026
almamater LIFE is a place to learn. These guidelines keep it safe and welcoming for everyone, including teenagers. They apply to lessons, courses, live classes, chat, comments, reviews, profiles and messages.
1. Be respectful
- No harassment, bullying, threats or hate based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other identity.
- Disagree with ideas, not people. Keep reviews honest and about the teaching.
2. Keep students safe
- No sexual or sexually suggestive content, ever. Nothing that sexualizes or endangers minors.
- Teachers: keep contact with students under 18 on almamater LIFE. Don't ask them for personal contact details, photos, private one-on-one video outside the site, or to keep secrets from their parents. Parents and guardians are always welcome in classes.
- No content that encourages self-harm, violence, or dangerous activities.
- Don't share anyone's private information (addresses, phone numbers, documents).
3. Be honest
- Describe your credentials and your lessons truthfully.
- No spam, scams, fake reviews, misleading links or selling outside the site to avoid fees.
- Take quizzes yourself — certificates should mean something.
4. Respect others' work
- Only upload material you created or have permission to use, including music, videos, images and books.
- Linking to books and materials is great; uploading copies of paid books or courses isn't.
5. Reporting problems
- Use the Report button on any lesson, course, live class, teacher page, comment or review. Reports are private.
- If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first.
- We review reports and may remove content, end live classes, and suspend or close accounts.
